Villain is a nitty 20/7/0.7 over 60 hands. He wasn't involved in much hands. I've been running 28/16/6, semi-loose aggressive. I've showed down a few hands like Q9s, A8s. Pretty much stealing a lot.

I would have raised to 10. Let him know to respect my hand. If straight hits, all in. I look at lower pairs as drawing hands anyway. I am tight/aggresive, but at the same time I like playing A5 for this very reason, to bust a lower pair in this type of situation (and would had made a small bet like was made).

You was probably well ahead, a pair and a possible straight, but dont think all-in was the right choice at the time, irregardless of how the hand turned out.

Min raising to $10 is horrid. Not to mention he only has $9 left after the min raise. I think what you did is fine. Good chance youre ahead and if you are not you have outs to catch up.

Yeah, what exactly is the point of minraising when it basically pot commits you anyway?

The shove is fine.

Exactly the reason why I shoved, there's some fold equity(I feel). Plus if the Villain calls, I still have outs. Still, the whole idea is to get the Villain to fold. Every time he calls with an overpair, I lose money in the long run.

Still, I realised after the hand that it's 25NL 6max, they will never lay down overpairs. I guess it'll be better to do this when I have like a gazillion outs.

This might be a bit weak but I find a fold here more often. You're priced out and behind. This is an overpair 85% of the time that isn't laying down. You could probably only fold out AK/AQ by shoving.

Anyone agree?
Too weak?

I would say it really depends. Thinking back, the Villain was raising 7% of his hands preflop. (AK, AQ 88+??) We might get him to fold 88-JJ, AK AQ(we beat that) I don't think we can get AA, KK to fold here, even though the board is straightening.

I've seen him check the flop headsup, even though he was the PF raiser. So I guess, he pretty much has an overpair.

Probably not a fancy move I should try at this limit.

I agree with you Schatz, I don't think it's weak. I'd fold this too because it's an overpair you're up against almost every time and you are priced out as you say, only a 38.4% chance to improve. You lose money in the long run, as was also pointed out by edge. TBH, I think an overpair calls here even at higher buy-ins, not only on 25max. The 2 clubs on the board make you think you're up against a flush draw and you're favored with an overpair. I believe what the 25max gives away here is specifically the fact that its an overpair with his reraise PF, and your shove is NOT going to get a fold making you an almost 2 to 1 dog.

I have a pretty similar hand I played the other night that I'll post this weekend. Folding out any overpair at this level is going to be very difficult. Also, against such a nitty player the PF re-raise screams overpair.

Very good point. I didn't really think of it, till the hands was over. it's 25max, no body folds KK and AA... :D Time to cut down the aggression.
