Would you have done anything different ?
Was I unlucky, should I fold on the river to his value shove ?

Feel free to move this to BB&V if the mods think it's not suited here..

Hide results next time please.

Raise more pf, 25-30, bet flop more (3/4 pot), basically pot turn and happily shove river. The more money you get in before his draw hits/misses, the more you profit.

Yeah I usually do, only didn't feel like it this time.
Guess it's more bad beat than analyzing.

I realise my pre and flop bets were on the small side.
I think pre is due to the fact that it was a rather tight table.
If I remember correctly I had gotten folds all around once or twice when I raised pre.

Why the flop bet is so small I have no idea.. Doesn't make sense really cause if he has a diamond he's gonna call a much bigger bet. And the chance of flopping a flush should be really small right? So technically I shouldn't be too worried by this ? And the rest is standard I guess..

i realize you want to get all the money in if possible, but i just don't see the need for potting the turn. the fact is that a diamond draw has like no implied odds. i think we're letting even (most of) the worst players get away from draws too easily by doing that. but they'll call a little less thinking they can win more when they hit, which is letting them make a mistake since they of course won't win more

That was unintentional, all I meant was bet bigger everywhere.
