CO: $3.66 (73.2 bb)
BTN: $4.30 (86 bb)
SB: $7.95 (159 bb)
BB: $13.66 (273.2 bb)
UTG+1: $20.63 (412.6 bb)
MP1: $5.75 (115 bb)
Hero (MP2): $9.64 (192.8 bb)
MP3: $4.88 (97.6 bb)

Pre-Flop: Hero is MP2 with K

UTG+1 raises to $0.40, MP1 folds, Hero raises to $1.55, 5 folds, UTG+1 raises to $20.63 and is all-in, Hero ??

AFAIK I have never folded KK preflop before in cash.
But if we take a look at his stats: he is the reggiest reg of 5 nl, I have 1.2k hands on him , the most out of everyone and his PFR is friggin' 3.
So I guess we have no choice but to lay 'em down and think he has AA?

What do you think ? Also is this a bad re-reraise pre ? Should I flat and hope to see a K on the flop or get out.

that says fold to me, with 12/3 that is either AA, KK, or AK; KK and AK are way less likely as you hold two of them. I am not great at reading PT/HEM numbers yet though so maybe I am wrong.

I think you're spot on. And probably not much of an analysis thread.
I guess I should get used to folding KK when I am absolutely certain they have aces. Against this guy it should be a relatively easy fold, but when an unknown shoves out of the blue I may have a harder time folding.

As was proven by my other KK vs AA AIPF 'beat' :)

200bb deep, I think you can safely fold here.

ugh, sucks being 200 BBs deep in this situation. Because of how deep you are I guess you can fold. As much as I hate folding KK preflop, if this guy has a pfr of 3% over a huge sample and he's shoving here, you probably actually can fold here.

Just to add, if the money had gone in slightly differently here in a way that there's more money in the pot, I don't think you can fold, even 200bb deep. You gotta remember that even KK vs. a range of AA,KK,AK is only like 45/55. But yeah, given the relatively small pot, I'd dump it.

That's what I thought..
I didn't like it either but I folded.
Probably saved myself some bucks.

I can't really recall any other plays he made with AA, but I'm fairly certain he doesn't shove like this a lot. At least he never did it to me like this before. But I try to stay away from him as much as I can as well :).

So what do you guys think of preflop play ?
Flat or raise ?

Would it be silly to flat looking at his PFR ?

noone answered ur second question here... if u should ve called preflop... imo that was definately the right play.. it saved u a lot of money... if u just call, u may get more callers behind you, and its gonna be real tough to lay down those KK on the flop if the A doesnt come...

i once had a guy with similar stats, who reraised me pf when i had QQ, but i decided to just call cause of his stats i put him on KK or AA.. .anyways flopped a set, and got all his money... he had AA

Sorry, the raise was good. You want to build the pot here as you are likely ahead and make speculative hands pay for the priveldge to play against you. Also in this case it helped you make a imo a good laydown against AA's, which is what raises do.
