Villian is 43/30/1.6 over 54 hands....

He folds to flop bet 42% of the time, and 3-bets preflop 11%

Stacks:
* MP (Villian) with $14.75
* CO with $5.71
* BTN with $7.93
* SB with $2.69
* BB with $4.08
* UTG (Hero) with $6.05

hand.pl

Blinds: $0.00/$0.00
Site: pokerstars
* * Dealt to UTG:K♠ A♦
* * Sklansky group 2
Preflop:
* * Hero raises $0.20 to $0.25
* * MP raises $0.25 to $0.50
* * 4 players fold.
* * Hero...

Okay, how do I get the most value out of this hand in general. When am I looking to shove preflop, or how much should I be 4-betting here?

And after I take that action where do I go with this player? I notice with these types of loose/calling stations I am having trouble with AK, especially OOP. It seems like c-bets don't really work too often when I miss, and I'm not sure building up the pot is the correct thing when all I have is A high, K kicker......maybe I'm giving them too much credit.

I realize this hand is boring, but I'm losing money with AK and there has to be something wrong with that...

Since he 3-bets so often, you're definitely still ahead of his range here. I pump this up to ~$2.50 or so, calling a shove obviously & shoving most flops.

I'd agree with c9. He's simply doubled your raise. There's something SERIOUSLY donkey about the villain. Don'y be hesitant about players at this limit doubling your the bet. They are bricking it with at best 22+ and think they are making a good play cuz they are scared to risk more incase you come over the top then they feel they can't call. But then again, c9 is playing 5nl alot so he probably has more of an insight to the players.

I like the 2.50 raise amount that c9 mentions. This will essentially commit you to the hand and set you up for a 2/3 pot sized shove on any flop. If you make a smaller 4bet to like 1.50 or something and he flats, post flop is going to be awkward with the relative stack sizes if you don't flop anything. Villains small 3-bet may just be a cheap attempt at gaining initiative in the hand, and he seems to be splashing around quite a bit so I would have no problem stacking this against this guy.

Okay, this makes sense, I am seriously playing AK like a damn bitch!

It now makes sense to build the pot up preflop in order to be commited and gets me out of those awkard situations when I am just called...we'll see what happens.
