This is early in this match, ~20 hands, but i have played villain before, about a week ago and i had a big edge on him hence why i sat facing his big stack hoping to play some deep stack poker against him. I won a ~70$ pot early on when villain c/c called 2 pair on all 3 streets vs my 2 pair, strange that he didnt get it in at any point in the hand. Anyway, from last weeks session, i found that villain calls way way way too many 3 bets, he has a phobia of folding to them, so im 3 betting him quite light, this time i has a hand though. He has seen me 3 bet a,q and check it down to river, and 3 bet TT and c/c flop, check down turn and river on a q,j,x,x,x board. He also calls bets fairly light, but doesnt float, he is aggressive with draws and doesnt like to tangle with double/triple barrels.

Hero checks, SB bets $24.50, Hero calls ?????

Its the small bet sizing that gets me here, i'm yet to catch villain bluffing, so i'm assuming he called flop with a piece of it, can we think villain is valueing a queen here? after being so cautious with 2 pair earlier

More likely an Ace (even though you hold one) if he's that cautious imo, but since you know he rarely folds to 3bets he can show up here with lots of Aces that we beat. His turn bet is really small, so I doubt he has 2 pair +. I call.

Just curious about your turn and river choices in action.

Did you check the river trying to induce a bet on his part?

Written above is the reason i check turn and river, villain folds basically all hands that i beat if i barrel the turn, so it makes more sense to check/call imo. As for the river, leading out seems meh after checking, but i really don't know what to do, hence the thread
