Just sat down at the table so I have no reads. Board texture sucks, Im oop, I don't have a plan (or know what it should be) My flop call was based on the fact that folding seems too weak here, and raising into someone showing strength on a board that is likely to have hit his range is kinda meh. bleh

Any reads on villain? It's really hard to comment without some.

If he's bad enough to play for stacks with a small overpair or aggressive enough to raise his draws, i just get it in on the flop. If he's nitty passive, a fold on flop is probably best.

My read is that I have no reads, I have like 8 hands on this guy. He is european , that is all i know:D I realize this is a fairly generic situation that seems to come up a lot for me, I guess it's kinda close

I like flatting the flop because pair+draw almost flips against us. On the turn I'd definitely prefer to bet/call instead of checking. Checking allows him to check draws behind.

As played, I'm torn between sticking it in and calling + calling blank rivers.
Edit: I'd stick it in. Stack sizes are such that he won't bluff the river.

i would probably stick it in. i'll want to believe that he has a pair and a flush or str8 draw more than he has a made hand. then again, thats why im still struggling with low stakes on ft. lol.

The problem is the flop call. I do not like this part of the play.
I would be more likely to reraise the flop to say $15 and fold to a push.

If I call the flop and check a blank turn - then it is because I will chechraise allin.

The pop questions is:
If you believe that you are ahaed on the flop - why not push allin on a blank turn ?

Because villain doesn't get odds to call on a draw. Betting out normally and letting villain shove is far superior.
