I'd raise a little more pre-flop. But if that's your standard raise, fine.

Post flop you have to re-raise. I don't know why you'd even ask, unless you ended up getting burned by pocket 8's or something like that.

Id raise to probably 6 dollars on the flop and I think you have to bet the turn when he checks to you. On the turn I bet out ~10 dollars (I think around 2/3 pot). There are now 2 flush draws out there and a straight draw. Id be prepared to play for stacks if he gives you more action as you have second nuts and outs if he happens to have J9.

woulda raised more on the flop.. $6 minimum, but $7-$8 would be good because his initial bet size is pretty small

as played, on the turn bet like $10-$12 (i prefer $11 cause that's just how i roll), snapcall a shove

Yeah raise at least $6 on flop, I probably pop to $8 or so depending on what he's called in the past. As played bet turn for what they^^^ said and call a shove.

Call. Not many worse hands are calling a raise and we don't want to get 3-bet by two pair or something.

Surprised they dealt the river before the other guy acted on the turn :)

But in all seriousness I agree with Chuck. You're probably beat here, this actually looks a lot like he had a straight before that river and you actually got lucky by not getting a lot of money in before. But with the odds you're getting here, I think you kind of have to call here with the set. He could still be over-playing something like 2 pair or even TPTK or could also be on a complete bluff, but too scared to put in a real bluff. Obviously a J has you beat, and I don't see much else betting that river for value, but I think you have to call this down.
