we have only played ~10 hands, ive raised 100% of the button and villain has donk bet once before where i folded flop. Main question here is can we squeeze out any value here on the river? or should we check since it would suck to get c/r

You obv. dont want to be facing a check raise on the river. HU is a tricky game, but id check here. Let's see it that way. You bet the river:
If he was on a bluff, he folds. You aint getting anything more.
If he has a better Q and the J scared him, hes obv calling your bet.
If he hits the J , hes prob. raising here. You can't call.

too thin i think. he will c/c a lot of rivers with better Q's than ours, and he probably doesn't 2 barrel, c/c river a lot of stuff we beat on that board.

T9/98 or a smaller pp is about the only hand you can get value from, and he has to be bad to call a river bet with those without any dynamic. This is so gameflow/image dependent that early in the game i check back, but later on it might very well be a vbet. I think alot of Qs check back this river when the J pairs, and since your kicker doesn't play if he has a Q he is freerolling vs you. Just isn't a good board to get thin value on the river.

I would check here, and get to showdown. Getting some river value here is possible, but it's pretty thin tbh. I think just being able to see his cards here will have some informational value for future hands.

Info early in a match should be a pretty big factor here too. I'd really want to see what he's double barrel donking with.

I don't think I could bring myself to bet here. I check behind and get a look at what he's been donking with.

the info part is obv a major factor, and is probably worth losing value by checking jsut to see what his range was.

fwiw since this is basically done since there are no counter arguements for betting, i checked and villain had k,2 spades coz he r pro

Nice. That's exactly what I put him on! Now you know his donk bets mean nothing and you can call 2 with A high. Obvious pro.
