With your range of AK, TT+, pokerstove calculates me at 40/60 to win.
My range TT+ KQ, AJ+, it's more like 49/51.
Maybe I'm way out with my range here.
Generally though I think my AK play is terrible, I'm either overly aggro with it or I end up playing it really weak. I hate this hand with a passion. I have looked in PT and I win 0.4bb/hand with AKo and 0.3bb/hand with AKs, which is down in about 14th place in bb/hands.
But how do you guys play AK? I know it's villain dependant etc etc, but generally how do you play it, Aggro, Passive?
I think the way I'm looking at it is just to treat it as basically I would with any non paired starting hand and to stop thinking of it as a major premium hand. I get too attached to it on missed flops etc and certainly over aggro pf.
AK is pretty easy to play because it's a hand that plays itself on most flops.
You want to be aggressive with it pre-flop -- re-raise to isolate a raiser, pot the flop if you have limpers in front of you ...
You'll c-bet dry flop textures such as Q 7 3, etc.
Avoid c-betting at bluffable boards such as flops containing Jacks or Tens since many opponents play those hands. Also don't c-bet flops with low and coordinated cards.
I dunno ... you'll figure it out through experience. That's just my $
