SB is a 46/5/1 fish over 80 hands, and BB is a virtual unknown. I've been playing a little tighter than normal over my 8 tables today; about 13/8/4. TAG in general though.

pokerstars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed)

UTG+1 ($28.70)
MP1 ($35.05)
MP2 ($41.40)
MP3 ($27.25)
Hero ($66.90)
Button ($50.25)
SB ($42.80)
BB ($39.95)
UTG ($77.45)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7

.
3 folds, MP2 calls $0.50, MP3 calls $0.50, Hero calls $0.50, 1 fold, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($2.50) 5

(5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, MP2 checks, MP3 checks, Hero bets $1.75, SB calls $1.75, BB calls $1.75, MP2 folds, MP3 folds.

Turn: ($7.75) 8

(3 players)
SB checks, BB bets $3.5, Hero raises to $14, SB calls $14, BB calls $10.50.

River: ($49.75) A

SB checks, BB checks, Hero ...

What types of hands are we looking at here and what's our action? To make the math easier, I have a little over $50 left, SB has almost $27, and BB has about $24.

Value bet like $8-10. I dont think you're up against a flush by the action. More like higher flush draws that didn't get there, maybe a straight or set

Bet same amount as Skoldpadda said, call any push. Maybe I'm betting 12 here since I'm not likely to get an overcall and want to get some more value.

ok then push, it doesn't matter really given their stack sizes

ok so regardless you're stacking here, but you're pretty much concerned about getting full value first and foremost right?

If somebody had a flush, the money would have gone in on the turn against fishy players. That 8 has also filled up str8 draws.

And yeah, I'm stacking off and if villain are fishy, they might not realize we are pricing them in by not pushing.

That I'm not so sure about. I'm too lazy to find them, but I've run into several hands where I've seen some very odd smooth calls with medium/weak flushes. I do agree that we should expect them to shove the turn, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a flush show up here.

sounds like you ran into a bigger flush :(

but i'm stacking off here, awr in. most players won't check the goods 3way on the river with these stacks (except maybe for this time, heh)

p.s. chuck i asked in another thread but i guess you didn't see it.. was just wondering how 50nl is going for you overall? i was glad to see you moved up from 25nl. notice much skill difference?

it goes goot. I'm actually running better than I did at 25nl. I think I'm gonna play 10k more than i did at 25nl though.

No big skill difference, just a slightly fewer fish.

Seems good to me, not too much big swings either but sample size is still pretty small.

And yeah, stack off here against a bigger flush please. Three way it doesn't make sense to slowplay this since any heart is going to kill the action, but fish will be fish.

I pretty much stuck them in (misread $27 for $22 and bet that instead), both called and both had flushes, J high and king high. Oddly played too.

I'm still curious how often we expect to see flush over flush in spots like these. I've heard them compared to set over set but I'm not really sure.

variance, yea...that's the ticket.
I am playing so tight that I prolly have splinters by know (oops, user error...grrrrrrrrrr)

But I am a happy little poker player. How about we keep it at the table though.

Untelevised, fair, and discreat. opppppps you know I am a bad speller.
