I've not been able to play 1 hand since I sat down at the table (25 hands). Our villain that calls our squeeze is a loose agressive type with 41/38/2 stats over 40 hands.

Shove. You've got what $27 bucks left in a $45 pot. No brainer imo.

With straight and flush draws on the board, a shove would be the correct play here. I wouldn't slowplay this.

Pretty easy shove. If he's really floaty and bluffs 'scare' cards, then check-calling is ok too since a lot of his underpairs may not call off, but might bluff. Board's a bit too drawy for that though.

Thanks guys, appreciate the quick confirmation. I did shove. He showed 55 which shocked the crap out of me considering his preflop implied odds against my big 3bet squeeze. Had to double check with the HA thread to get my head straight so I don't alter my play the next time this happens.

well you should know for the future that the majority of players at low stakes (even up to 200NL) incorrectly set-mine w/o odds in 3bet pots. there are even tons of winnings regs that do it. it's probably one of the most common leaks i've seen. so even when it's not "right" to do, keep in mind that your opponents will still be doing it frequently

but ofc i still shove in your spot, just ul

Which, btw, is why you could even raise a little higher than $7 preflop and still get a bad setmining call.

The rest of the hand is of fine. SPR requires that you stack with the overpair here.

That king was actually a great card for you. Now you're getting paid by AK and KQ and KT and whatever other "fun" hands he decided to call a 3-bet with.

What combu says is true; regs call 3-bets with some really bad hands. Especially when you 3-bet them often, because they get frustrated with being raised all the time and they adjust in the worst possible way: They call OOP. Then they miss the flop, you bet, they have to fold their missed KJs, and you end up taking three times as much from them as you would have if they had just swallowed their pride and surrendered preflop.
