villian is 16/13/2.5 over 60 odd hands,

after the flop minraise, how do you procede, whats your line?
On the turn how do you react to the 4 bet?
Other thoughts?

Right i dont play these limits, so what i say might be completley wrong but meh.

Im pretty agressive and imo you played this hand way to passivley, youve got a very playable hand so get some money in! On the flop im probably 4-betting his raise, as you'll be getting called by overpairs (99+) , two pairs, and some people who cant let go of their straight and flush draws. The only hand you worried about is higher sets and a straight, but even with a straight you have plenty of outs.

As played on the turn im probably shoving his weak min-raise., the 3d changes nothing and your still crushing most of his range.

I dont know, i might lose alot of money on this hand by playing to agressive, but we live and learn.

gotta agree with ajrobin, I would put this guy on a 7 with a heart draw combo or like straight draw heart draw combo. If he flopped the str8 gg him IMO

I would be raising this one preflop and trying to get it in on this flop. After the button minraises just 4bet it to like 14 and then call a shove. As played how are you not getting this in on the turn? Are we seriously trying for pot control with a set?

yea well this is my first session of 50nl so played a bit cautious, recently got it in against 2 similar guys on a 3 flush board with bottom set and they showed AA/KK so thanks for your guys solid advice.

Bet more everywhere.

I raise pf too. Flop we should just jam. This is a drawy-as-**** flop and we don't want to get outdrawn or see an action killer. Just ship it.

I suppose that just calling the min-raise on the flop was a combination of slowplaying and waiting for a safe turn card to put money in.

My objection to the first point is that you're almost always against at least one good draw here. It's reasonable to slowplay against one player you put on a medium strength hand or drawing to a losing hand. Neither of those are the case here. You're giving free cards and not getting much more out of made hands that won't stack off on the flop.

My objection to the second point is that you're already way ahead of any draw. You have very strong redraws to a full house. Waiting until the turn kills that edge. Big draws are going to overvalue their hands versus yours on the flop, but they will likely value them correctly on the turn. Because you have waited until the turn where you don't have a redraw edge, they know exactly how many outs they have. So I say jam the flop and let them make a mistake. I'd be very happy getting it all in on the flop against two big hearts or an OESDFD.

I never can give someone credit for flopping a flush or a straight. I know it happens, but if I have a set, then I'm getting it in with either the best hand, or plenty of outs. And when I check my Holdem Manager reports, I make most of my $ with sets. No real surprise there, but I would be raising this flop to a bit more than pot to make up for being OOP.
