So I have been playing cash games a lot more and here are a couple hands from today's session that I played WAY differently than I normally would.

Seat 1: jordanbillie ($48.20 in chips)

Seat 2: 10ko***2 ($49.25 in chips)
Seat 3: Dona***3 ($50 in chips)
Seat 4: long***4 ($92.50 in chips)
Seat 9: MaxI***9 ($107.45 in chips) DEALER
Seat 10: DiMz***10 ($69.37 in chips)
DiMz***10: posts small blind $0.25
jordanbillie: posts big blind $0.50
Dealt to jordanbillie [Qs][Ks][Kc][Jd]
10ko***2: raises to $1.75
Dona***3: folds
long***4: folds
MaxI***9: calls $1.75
DiMz***10: folds
jordanbillie: raises to $6.75 (this is standard with such a premium hand 6 handed)
10ko***2: calls $5
MaxI***9: calls $5
*** FLOP *** [5h][Ac][8d]
jordanbillie: bets $10 (normally I am checking this spot but I thought about it for 5-10 seconds and then fired out about 3/4 pot)
10ko***2: calls $10
MaxI***9: folds
*** TURN *** [Js]
jordanbillie: is all in $31.45 (I thought about this one for another 10-15 seconds and I think normally I just give up here and check, but I thought a pot bet here looks SUPER strong after the 3/4 pot bet on flop. Opponent might even think I have top set)
10ko***2: folds
jordanbillie: returns uncalled bet $31.45
***SHOW DOWN***
jordanbillie: mucks
jordanbillie: wins $38.50

Now here is my favorite hand of the session. It may look donkish to the naked eye, but I really felt ahead in this hand the whole way and just kept firing away.

Seat 3: Dona***3 ($52.05 in chips)
Seat 4: long***4 ($90.65 in chips)

MaxI***9: folds
DiMz***10: folds
jordanbillie: raises to $7.75
10ko***2: folds
Dona***3: folds
long***4: calls $5.50
*** FLOP *** [2c][Jd][5h]
jordanbillie: bets $9.50
long***4: calls $9.50
*** TURN *** [Td]
jordanbillie: bets $35.50
long***4: calls $35.50
*** RIVER *** [Qs]
jordanbillie: is all in $15.70
long***4: calls $15.70
jordanbillie: shows [Ad][Qc][As][8d]
long***4: shows [Kd][Jc][Kc][4d]
***SHOW DOWN***
jordanbillie: wins $134.90 with Pair of Aces and fistpumps!

On this second hand, we both picked up the flush draws on the turn and I think our villain is folding if he didn't pick up that King high flush draw.

I have been super happy with my cash game play of late and just wanted to post these hands because I felt like I played them an alternate way that made me way more $$

In the first hand, you are really only representing AAxx but you played it exactly how someone with AAxx would so it is not exactly a bad line to take against a thinking villain.

On the second hand, I think preflop, flop and turn are pretty standard but it is so hard to but that money in on that river, even though it was only 15$ into a 100$ pot. I probably check on the river expecting villain to check back a ton when he does not have the straight because he has virtually no fold equity. But as you said, you thought you were ahead so no problem in betting when you have a read.

I like the play in the first hand, your pf raise makes your repped AAxx credible. If the turn had been any card 4 through 9, though, are you still firing the turn?

In the second hand, the flop is dry for Villain's range, the turn gives us the nut overpair, nut fd, and gutshot straight draw - both bets make sense to me.

Here's my question about the river - I've been wondering if I'm spewing a bit here - the $15 behind is so small relative to what we've already put in, and Villain only called on the turn rather than putting us allin (which I would've called on the turn), that I will make that bet on the river 100% of the time - is that appropriate or spew?

Not a huge fan of hand #1 to be honest.... If you are going to do that routinely it's going to cost you in the long run.

I like your play in hand one MUCH more if you are heads up (and/or have position and are checked to). Leading that out 3 way is often asking for trouble, especially when called on the flop.

Hand 2 is fine.

Hand #1: Its a pretty gutsy play, a check-100%potsizeraise at that flop would have been a good alternative in repping top set and you'll have a feel of what he has going into the turn giving that hes less likely to call.
