Why are we checking the turn? An A is a huge part of his range, and we're freerolling w our fd against any A. Are we worried about a bigger straight, or are we worried about scaring a pair away?

I don't like the turn check, cuz I think many villains (unlike this one) will fold to a river diamond.

I wanted to represent A Cont bet that got busted and was going to Check/ Raise him. had it of been any other card apart from the four i would have most probably bet out.

Check on the turn is fine to me. you want to induce bluff and don't want to scare over pairs away.
