So what's the question? To continue with the overpair on the flop to a large reraise or fold?

I guess I would ask myself what guy is trying to say with the rereaise. Essentially he's saying he has some sort of 6, 77, a higher pocket pair or two overcards with a flush draw, all of which 88 is behind to. Its very possible he has two-non suited over cards that he's turning into a bluff. I don't mind a call or fold here. I think most times I would fold on the flop. Im only ahead of a bluff and most times he has 30% equity even then. I would fold to a large reraise on the flop and look for a better spot.

I'm probably out of my league here but I think its likely that he has two overcards or a stronger pocket pair. Based on his three bet preflop I doubt he has a hand with a 6 or 7 in it. Either way, I think you're behind and I would fold, and I definitely wouldn't call.. I might be okay with a shove depending on your read on your opponent, but only if you really think he doesn't have anything. I think if you're prepared to invest half your stack on the flop, then you should be prepared to invest the rest of your stack on the the later streets. So you might as well get it in now or get out.

Also, I think opening from utg, you need to open much stronger (maybe 5 or 6 bb instead of 3) to induce more folds. Especially if your pocket pair is pretty low.

Some good points. But people tend to three bet light. That being said, you can't automatically dismiss 67, any 6X, or 77. Those are the exactly the type of hands with good implied odds because they are unlikely to hit most three bet ranges. Im not really a fan of your 6X open either. That opens yourself up to a 20 BB reraise. And most times on the flop, you'll have no idea where you are at. So opening that hard, you're forcing yourself to fold to a possible 20 Bb raise or call and be guessing. I like neither option. There is an old saying. Big money is for big hands. This isn't one. Better to call it a loss and look for better spots.

My first question is:

Why dont you have a full stack?

If he feels so good about his hand here, and I cant really get a feeling if he will be doing this with non suited overcards enough vs better hands and good draws, I am looking for a better place to get my money in. He has enough hands in his range that have you a big dog here IMO.

When you make this call pre with 81 BB, I think you are making a mistake. Just fold pre of have a full stack.

If you follow the 5/10 rule for setmining, you can *just* make the call preflop for set value, but since you'll be OOP, it might be better to fold to the preflop 3-bet.

As played, why did you donk the flop?

Just fold.
Even if you're ahead, it won't be by much.
