Hi,

Hero is BB with 3h 5d
Villain is SB and limps.

Flop: Ac Ks Qs Check, check.
Turn: 9h Check, check.
River 2d Check, check.

Villain wins with Qc, Js.

So why do i post this hand?
I did not win, i did not loose.

Because i would like to know if there are effective strategies to play AND win this hand.

When villain checks the flop he likely has no ace, but since i did not raise pre i likely have no Ace either.

When villain checks the turn i could bet, but how much then should i bet, abd by then villain may think i'm still bluffing, and stay with me.

And anyway some players are very sticky with 3rd or even 4th pair.
Sometimes i have tried to fire all streets, losing maybe 15$ to 22 of my opponent.

And when i bet the river same applies. Or should i make an overbet?

So all in all not a spectacular hand, but i do wonder if there are ways to play it?

Regards
Robert

Are you messing with me?

Dude, you played fine. The pot is a whopping 2 BB. If you want to try and steal it, raise pre, bet flop, assess as the hand progresses. Bluffs have to be believable.

As played, there is just no reason to risk chips. There is nothing to win, and your hand is just soooooo bad dude. And furthermore, any hand he limped may have connected with the board in some way. So, considering the board, and the money in pot, it isn't worth a bet at any point in this hand.

Edit: Considering this board likely hit your opponent, this is a 3 barrel, high variance play to try and push this dude out of the pot.

You cant win the hand without betting a big amount during the hand?

If you check all the time with this board , you can easily fold and get the same result.
