$50 NL HE Full Ring: KJo top pair faces CR in blind battle.

Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 25/11/1.7

Only 30ish hands on the villain, haven't seen him do anything out of the ordinary. I have played one hand with him where I called his CO raise from the small blind with KQs, the board comes 8TJ, I check call and a 9 comes on the turn. I check raise his $5 bet to $15, he smooth calls and the river is an Ace filling a flush and we both check and he shows ATo.

Oh I'm playing around 22/18/2, pretty loose but I had calmed down lately.

On to the hand in question.

River: ($102) 2:diamond: (2 players, 2 are all-in)

Just want to see what you guys think of my line, is it spewy or what. I just didn't think there was any hands that he would limp his SB with that hit this board.

Given the history that he'll call down with 2nd pair on a 89TJ board, I like this. But his stats suggest that he's a little passive. Even still though, I'm not folding TP2K blind vs. blind when all he's really repping are sets/draws and he can call down light.

Line looks pretty standard to me.

Given the history... it's fine I think even if it does make me a tad uncomfortable.

Against an unknown this is definitely spew.

Definitely take good notes on the results... some villains like this sometimes tighten up a bit after a hand like that next time you tangle with them. I'm not going to at all be surprised to see something you beat though... JQ, TQ+, hell even something like 99 maybe.

Not going to be shocked if you are beat but I think you have enough equity with that hand and given the history... it's somewhat close though.

i think u prob lost and may have overplayed. normally when i get raised from ppl who are calling stations i get scared, cause even though they are calling down weak hands they normally only play aggresive when they hit their bad call. several hands got there 56 and A5 hearts which are the 2 most likely holdings, that or j2 suited.

What was the end result of this? (If I may ask) I would have probably done the same thing as Villian probably assums that you are playing pretty loose and are trying to bluff him out of a hand. Also he may be slightly on tilt from you beating him before.

I might see him on a low pair, or Jx. Maybe he tried to limp with 33 since he looks passive, you raised him, he said ok. Then he got a set on the flop and tried to play some money out of you. I'd be cautious.
