Pretty sure he flushed... or did I fold the winning hand?

I would have raised this preflop, but since you didn't I will follow you to the flop. Now I would have folded to this $1 bet, I mean its a 2/3 pot size bet and you have 2 overs and a gutshot, plus there are already 2 hearts on board. So following you to the turn, I would have raised more than min, anywhere from $8-$12 sounds decent. So following you to the river, it looks like he has the flush, but because you didn't do anything to really try to define his hand, we are almost guessing at this point.

I'll be blunt for your own sake: move down in limits. You clearly have neither the skills nor the bankroll to play 50nl.

More specifically:

Don't play 47bb deep.

Iso-raise preflop.

Explain why you called the flop. Chasing gutshots is bad. It may be defensible if you plan to bluff turn when you miss.

Play for stacks on the turn as he could be getting crazy with AhX, JT, two pairs, a set or something like that.

Don't ever tell villains what you're folding on river. You're just making it even easier for them to take your money later on.

I actually ended up stepping down to 0.10/0.25 ... I dont have the roll to play these stakes either but I cant stand to play at 0.01/0.02 because of all the chasing... it makes me tilt horrible...

The reason I called was because villian is playing a lot of hands extremely aggressively and most of them are extremely weak... and I'm holding gutshot with two overs... if I hit the gutshot with no flush I take him for his whole stack

Says the guy who is chasing gutshots 47bb deep... :D

About the BRM part. Since you're playing low stakes anyway, what matters is that loosing $25 should not be a big deal for you, whether you have a proper bankroll deposited at the poker room or not is irrelevant if you can reload painlessly anyway. What does matter is that you don't play with scared money. And the above hand screams scared money.

You know what I mean, the things they chase at 0.01/0.02 are way worse than a 2xbb gutshot with two overs
