OP: use limping stats in your hud: limp-call, limp-fold, limp-raise. Helps a lot with decisions like this and I imagine you see a lot more limps at micros, so this would help doubly so.
I think when someone limp-raises any significant
amount pf, they usually have the nuts, in which case I don't think you're getting odds to call. Here we're getting a lot better odds, and I usually call, but not because I think his range is QQ+/AK or whatever, but because 1)if he does have a range that tight, we're probably getting odds to call anyway, 2) he doesn't always have a range that tight, so we're often doing better than we think, and the odds are even better as a result, and 3) we have position which makes playing top pair, and playing the whole hand out just easier in general.
