Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 51/3/2 - hands 39 - no reads

I think this is a snap call? I have equity if I'm beat, guy could be overplaying like an ace 8, or could be or an draw, have any pair/flush draw, but with so few hands on a player i'm questioning it, seems very thin call I've only invested $4 in to the pot, is it really worth the extra 15?

Thoughts?

Pretty horrible. This play could have nearly anything and it looks a bit bluffy and since you checked he might be doing it with draws. I have no idea lol. Hopefully the others will know whats going one here better. Generally against that player I don't like to give barely any credit for a hand.

I assume you checked turn to induce spazz, congrats, now call.

Not to single you out but this is a very common problem on this board:

Stats are not reads. If you don't have many hands on a player, pay attention to some hands, get a feel for what someone is doing and put him on a range of hands.

39 hands isn't a ton, but given his stats we can make a lot of assumptions:

-- He's not folding anything remotely playable on the button
-- he's in so many hands that even with just a 39-hand sample, you must have seen him take quite a few flops and get to some showdowns.
