$50 NL HE Full Ring: Bad Plays or Good Calls

This first hand I flopped the low end of the straight. And with all the limpers I assumed no one had AK for broadway. Did I play this one too aggressively?

This hand about 40 minutes later.

And this guy has a tight image but always ends up going to showdown with crappy hands... Anyway if this was anyone else at the table I would have thrown it away. But what do you think?

1st hand is standard, second hand.... wtf? He's tight but he shows down crappy hands? You raise on a 59Jr board? >_X Does not compute.

The 2nd hand was played after he was raising pot every hand for about 12 hands... so i never assumed he had a strong hand and definately thought my tens were best

Moving on to hands 3 and 4:

Stop showing results and convert your hands.
It will get you much better advice.

I assume this is ultimate bet so finding a hand converter should not be hard.

1st hand, you did play it too aggressive why is the re raise so big? Rainbow board, the guy limped from the small blind, seems like the guy can't get away from his 10s but considering how it went pre flop, there's maybe not many 50NL players that can, by the time he re raises you your pot comitted and I think the only danger for you is a hand like K9, which could have been a possibility, I'd re raise to $6 or $8, and see what happens if he then chooses to push, but you're virtually comitted anyway, 50NL $20 stack doesn't leave you much room to play with and make good decisions, your just playing bingo and hoping your ahead, it's not like your holding the stone cold nuts, AK is out of the question but higher draws and if the board paired up with a set (as with villains 10s) your dead.

2nd hand is horrible, you played it awfully, how can he be tight and go showdown with bad cards?? Pay more attention to their play, I don't really like seeing flops with 10s, Js, Qs, I'm either folding or re raising that pre flop depending on the opponent. Check raising the flop isn't too bad on that board, an allegedly tight player that misses a lot of their range, but again I think you need to reflect on how you come to these decisions... After he raises you there, WHY ARE YOU NOT FOLDING?! The only reason you won the hand (and god knows why you called all in facing 2 overcards with only an open ender), was that this guy seems to be a bigger donkey than yourself!

I won't comment on the other hands in detail, but raising 54o, calling the gut shot draw when bet into, and that the guy shows A7. I either want to know how you end up facing all these fish, or more likely that you're playing way too loose, thus getting loose calls and you're just getting lucky hitting your hands. You had the nuts in hand 3, but you're playing drawing hands on a short stack... implied odds? And you got called by someone with 2 pair, again, not everyone's gonna be paying you off there.

I don't mean to be rude, but imo you've played those hands terribly and have just got lucky. What's your BR? I mean $50NL you won't win playing like that, and again only trying to help even if I sound rude but looking up your FT user on OPrankings, your tourney stats are pretty horrible too.

My advice would be to drop stakes until you start ironing out your game, get your head in some books, keep on the forums etc, and see you on the felt :)

I agree with everything. I think that raising with 54o was ok, mixing up your play is good but calling the $2 with only a gut shot? That was pretty bad
