Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: 116.78 BB
BB: 31.28 BB
UTG: 102.18 BB
UTG+1: 122.18 BB
MP: 101.5 BB
MP+1: 86.42 BB (VPIP: 10.53, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 19)
CO: 100 BB
Hero (BTN): 100 BB <= LAG

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 7 9

fold, fold, fold, MP+1 raises to 2 BB, fold, Hero calls 2 BB, fold, BB calls 1 BB

Could have 3 betted here but as the raise was so small and I had a suited one gapper so I decided to just call.

Flop: (6.5 BB, 3 players) 3 K 8
BB checks, MP+1 bets 5 BB, Hero raises to 16.64 BB, fold, MP+1 calls 11.64 BB

Great flop for me. Raised his bet here as I have plenty of outs and get fold equity if he does not have a better flush draw or a K in his hand or AA.

Turn: (39.78 BB, 2 players) T
MP+1 checks, Hero bets 27.22 BB, MP+1 calls 27.22 BB

Get extra outs on the turn so put in a bet here I still have fold equity from a better flush draw or some other hands he was stubborn with like QQ-TT.

River: (94.22 BB, 2 players) T
MP+1 checks, Hero checks

Giving up the hand. The line I took makes that it is likely that he has me beat with AK or better and if I bet he probably will call me off.

MP+1 wins 90.22 BB with AKo

Question
Does anyone see a flaw in my play.

Nope, raise on the flop is fine with me, maybe a bit aggresive but its good to occasionaly throw in a raise when you are on a draw.

Turn bets is fine.

Giving up on the river is smart. Some people decide to bet again here to rep a ten, but what ten raises the flop here? Chances are that he will call you regardless.
