$50 NL HE Full Ring: AK Preflop + Flop Lines 4ways

UTG raiser is a nit/TAG 10/8/2 over a very large sample.
Is it ok to flat preflop and what is our line here on the flop??

I'm never flatting this preflop OOP against 3 opponents. What are the UTG+1 villains fold to 3bet stats? If he generally folds, I'm definitely 3betting. If he never folds to 3bets, I'm either folding or looking to play for stacks.

Ya I definitely think you gotta raise PF.

As played you're raising the flop, if he comes over the top of your raise you're looking at AA or even KK. I wouldn't be surprised if he had AK also here given his range. QQ maybe.

60 fold to 3bet but 0 in EP over 13 total whole sample is over 768 hands

What's his ATS Jake? Is he positionally aware?

I'm leaning toward just folding AK here preflop tbh.

Yeah, I defiantly think it's a fold. I mean best case he has QQ+/AK and we don't fair very well against that range.

Already been covered basically but your options are

1) play for stacks pre

in general I'm putting a 10/8 from UTG+1, assuming he's positionally aware his range is very tight... probably something like AK and somewhere between TT+ and QQ+.

We don't fare too well against the range at all. If we raise he MIGHT fold out TT/JJ IF he's even raising those to start with which he may not be... he's not folding anything else and there's a good chance we get 4 bet.

I don't absolutely hate 3betting it though just be prepared to have to get it in if you do. I also think you will tend to win a smallish pot (aka everyone folds if he's got the bottom of his range and neither of the other two makes an idiot call) or be way behind or at best flipping with QQ for a huge pot.

2) fold

flatting AK so you are oop 4 ways is just bad however you cut it. Flatting this really shouldn't be an option here.

As a related side note... I wouldn't hate a flat near as much if the AK is suited... but when you do that you are basically doing it because of the extra implied odds a flush possibility gives you and the fact it's 4 ways with at least one calling stationy type and good odds to do so. I'm still not going to like a TPTK hand very much 4 way oop with a nit opening UTG+1.

this pretty much sums up the hand tbh and is the best way of putting how the hand would play even if I call or raise. Fold is probs the best option looking back at it.
