ugh, you really need to 3bet more Jake, you make money from people calling 3bets with random hands, so you want to maximize those winning, i 3bet to at least 6.50 here. As played happily get it in

So you want it 3.5 IP and say about 4.5 OOP with hands like QQ+??

Well no, but i just 3bet larger everywhere, you need to stop playing 'by the book' as such, and adjust you 3bet sizes as needed depending on villains, but in general, you just want to make them slightly bigger everywhere to maximize value

is this with all 3bets or 3bets with premiums or re steals that i need to make my 3bets larger would you say?

all 3bets, if you only d it with premiums it will become pretty transparent. A massive % of your 3bets should be with premiums anyway, so you should be looking to maximize value with them with bigger 3bets then being concerned about maximizing losses for when you 3bet to the same amount as a steal

theres no reason to make your 3bet any bigger here in position. He's still not getting odds to set mine. We want him to be calling with TT here. I see no problem getting it in here.

I was raising a point more to jake than this hand in particular, that he should be 3betting more in general since he 3bets are on the small side in most of his HH's

He certainly could have high pp that he flat called with on BB to disguise his hand (KK, QQ, JJ). I don't think he would have flat called with TT because there are too many overs that can come on the flop.

I'd probably 3bet full pot preflop, but it doesn't make a huge difference. We shouldn't really try to find hero folds with overpairs in 3bet pots.

The only question here is whether we want to reraise now or if we flat intending to get it in on a later street. Given villain's postflop AF, i'd tend to flat and let him continue with the weakest part of his range that could easily be shoving any turn card but could fold to a 3bet on flop.

BTW, if you got set mined, take a note that villain set mines in 3bet pots and profit. You can 3bet him quite light in position and win a bunch of $$ with cbets.

that can be quite frustrating, indeed.

just remember that against people who set mine with borderline odds, you don't adjust by finding hero folds in this kind of spots. You adjust by opening up your 3betting range which further degrades their implied odds since you won't be stacking the bottom of your range when they hit, while they will have to fold to your cbet when they miss regardless of whether you have it or not.
