Not many hands on my opponent, 19/19/3.00 over 21 hands.

When the original raiser checks this flop I think its a pretty obvious and easy bet for me. I very likely have the best hand here and I want value from the hand and protection from the draws.

The Jd is possibly the worst card that could have come on the turn. I decide to check this back, I don't feel betting here benefits me, would anyone disagree?

On the river I felt like I needed to call. In my opponents eyes I could have been betting hands other than a K on the flop and now he's trying to take it away after seeing me check back the turn.

Anyone play this differently?

Jd isn't a bad turn card. It gives you an open ended straight draw and 2nd nut flush, it adds another 15 potential outs to your hand with only a few re-draws to worry about.

And yes I play it different, I bet the turn because of how much value the Jd has given me, also it protects your hand against crappy, dangerous river cards leaving you the luxury of checking behind if you don't fancy a tihn value bet.

As played yes I call the river. Your check on the turn might have given villain the balls enough to bet weak middle pairs, missed belly busters etc etc. Close call though.

This is the 2nd thread I've seen where hero decides not to bet the turn. Do you guys like winning small pots? GET AGGRO!!

It's my second post where I don't bet the turn? Will have to check my other thread lol.

Erm, I have no flush outs. The board is full of diamonds and I have the K of hearts. All the J has done for me is give me a straight draw?

Oops sorry fella I read Kd.

I would still bet the turn in case AdTx, J9, JQ, 97 wants to pay to draw and also to protect your hand for the river and you still have 6 outs if you're behind with a possible 3 more for queens.

Any c/r or river betting and we are finished with the hand.

fwiw it wasn't you who posted a hand where you didn't bet the turn, it was another hand, the 10nl one below or above this one.

I think this is a solid line for pot control.

With a better read on my opponent I might be inclined to bet the turn, as you can use this scare card to your advantage.

I think the villian takes this line with AJ+/KJ+.

Once again, his check on the turn signals one of two things to me, and my assumption would be read dependent, either he:

1. Is on a pair or possible straight but is very afraid of the turn card, and willing to let it go to a double barrel.

2. Is very comfortable with his hand but feels like you will bet into him.

From the little info you have on him he seems to be pretty aggressive, so a bet on the turn may be optimal.
