SB bets $29 and is all-in

I ended up folding here. Given that this was a limped pot, I assumed the SB was more unlikely to have a hand like AJ or KJ since he might have raised them. Calling two large raises, I thought this played very much like a set or two pair. I have no stats on the villain since this was on Bovada. Was folding here the right action?

Tough decision, hard with no reads. I don't think it's a big mistake either way, however I would fold, looks like a FH more often than trips.

Very well played, perfect imo.

Yeah this is tough. I don't think a call here is terrible either. I don't think he would have limped a mid sized pocket pair. He could have 8J or something but I think JQ is really in his range with top pair and a decent kicker which explains the calling instead of the re raising. Then he rivered a set and thought he was good and shoved into you. I think either play works though depending on read, I'm personally calling here though. But that's just me. This play comes down to what YOU think he has. Are you a believer he has a boat? If so lay down the straight. It would certainly be an epic fold if you are right

Call not close imo.
Villain can have jx busted diamonds and even weaker straights up until the fold well played.

We need to be good less than 30% of the time I believe we're good the vast majority of the time.

folding here is just terrible. He has a set on the flop approximately 0% of the time and he's usually going to be 3-betting the flop with J8/J7 the vast majority of the time, too. With almost no full houses in his range this just can't be a fold. If you're beat it's going to be against something like QThh that makes a backdoor flush, and that's just not enough combos to come close to making this a fold. Super snap call.

Yeah he kept betting into you and everytime as if he wanted you to raise or perhaps he was just blocker betting a flush draw? I personally think he could have J7 or J8 here and you made the correct fold but depending on your read he could have a busted flush draw also. So tough decision but imo the right one is fold.

There's a flush, and a boat out there.

If it felt like he was playing a set, the paired board is an exit cue.

Good fold
