Never quite sure how big to with squeezes, how much would u make it here with 4 callers? And what if there was only 1 caller, 2 caller, 3 callers?

BTW opener opens 21% UTG and folds to 3bets 75% so I'm presuming we are squeezing?

888 Poker - $0.50 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: $49.22 (VPIP: 31.82, PFR: 22.73, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, hands: 24)
Hero (BB): $50.00
UTG: $77.51 (VPIP: 21.15, PFR: 14.79, 3Bet Preflop: 3.23, Hands: 463)
CO: $74.69 (VPIP: 21.86, PFR: 17.17, 3Bet Preflop: 6.06, Hands: 2,735)
BTN: $50.00 (VPIP: 23.12, PFR: 13.87, 3Bet Preflop: 3.70, Hands: 176)

SB posts SB $0.25, Hero posts BB $0.50

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.75) Hero has J:diamond: A:diamond:

UTG raises to $1.50, CO calls $1.50, BTN calls $1.50, SB calls $1.25, Hero raises to ?

Rather flat call this hand but if I was to raise I would raise it around $8.50

Flatting seems better to me, no way they all fold and you are OOP postflop in a massive pot.

hmm, flatting seems pretty shit tho because we have a pretty good hand which is gonna be quite hard to win 5-ways. There's so much dead money out there just seems like squeezing is best and if UTG folds and we get heads up with someone else we probably aren't in bad shape

why squeeze smaller suited stuff and not this? prefer squeezing here because we'll do better if/when we're re-flatted IP..

flat smaller stuff coz of implieds/sick odds/whatever

Can totally see where deco is coming from (it makes sense to polarise kind of in theory, but that would mean squeezing stuff like T6s here or something) I'm all for that in more standard squeeze spots, but this one comes up rarely and i'd rather just take the vacuum play of squeezing cause that is very likely going to be much more +EV than calling, and we have a nice hand if we are called.

I'd never go as far as T6s here. Id merely preference J9s as a 3bet to AJs as the latter need not fear flush over flush from Axs 5way, makes nut straights atronger two pairs and the best trips. These may normally seem like minor concerns but become quite prominent in 5way pots when multiple monsters are far more common.

Look, I am pretty aggro; but I wouldn't attempt a squeeze here. You are OOP and never going to get 3 villains to fold @ 50nl imo. If you raise you get called and have to play a bloated pot OOP. I don't think you can play a $20 pot OOP post-flop with a $42 stack behind. Your opponent/opponents will only likely pay you when you hit a bigger Ace, and will be unlikely to fold PP's to a cbet on a semi-dry board. I know AJ is prolly the nuts, but I don't like a squeeze unless you play well post-flop.

this is a pretty obvious squeezing spot. i dont think your going to get too much credit when squeezing here. best play here is for someone to shove your squeeze.

$6.50, I think squeezing more just costs us money when UTG has a hand and doesn't really produce a ton more FE.

Erm if they do call they will fold flops and defo turns, if you cbet flop and turn into any of the PF callers who call again what can they put you on, they aren't going to be calling with 88 etc on Qxx or w.e, you get a ton of folds pre flop as this squeeze is super strong and the only person like to 4b or call is PFR coz no1 else really has anything that can flat this when you 3b so big

There are 4 players in the pot and when we squeeze they think we have junk? really? No, getting AJ pre-flop in at these stakes is god awful.

ducky , question. i have noticed that lately when i pull a play like this more people are calling with hands like pocket pairs like 88,99,1010,JJ. and its kinf of hard to get them off these hands if a all low flop comes.

So question. what do you do when you squeeze and totally miss and he calls the c bet on the flop? or do we sometimes squeeze check,to play it tricky?

And one more thing so i can get this straight in my mind. If we squeeze and villain doesnt shove,it is fair to say he doesnt have the pre-flop nuts correct?(kk-AA)

well if your playing against any thinking reg or any good lags, it is kind of obvious that this is the ideal spot for a squeezeplay.ESP against 4 people. NONE OF WHICH have shown exceptional handstrength.

Shove turns if you want to portay the nuts you gotta shove turns and they should be folding 88-JJ a good amount of the time and if they dont make a note and value own them next time

ok. noted. thnks.

thnks again. yea , me neither if your squeezing that big and they have the nuts kk-aa, i dont see them just not shoving right there. flatting a huge squeeze smells alot like queens or ak. or best case scenario someone setmining with the wrong odds.

squeeze sizing is very important IMO, the bigger the better?

AK/QQ should be 4b'ing a decent amount of the time but its not implausable they would call with these, and also no not bigger the better, the more people the bigger is the saying you should be going by :)
