Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 21/16/6

Villains stats over 400+ hands. 4% 3 bet

PokerStars - $0.50 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: 124.44 BB
BB: 190.66 BB
UTG: 119.62 BB
CO: 101.5 BB
Hero (BTN): 113.44 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.75) Hero has J:club: 9:club:

fold, fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, SB raises to 10 BB, fold, Hero calls 7 BB

Flop: ($10.50, 2 players) T:club: Q:club: K:heart:
SB bets 14 BB, Hero calls 14 BB

Turn: ($24.50, 2 players) K:spade:
SB bets 26 BB, Hero calls 26 BB

River: ($50.50, 2 players) 7:diamond:
SB bets 74.44 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 63.44 BB and is all-in

Should probably fold to the 3 bet, but I thought well Ducky calls these so it must be profitable.

Fold pre, but after calling rest is super standard. Flop call >>>>>>> raise imo and even if he never bluffs river assuming he bets AK with 100% frequency it's still a call. And he's going to have some missed draws he shoves with once in awhile too.

K so I understand why we flat the flop but why the turn?

If his turn range is like TT+, AQs, AKo, then dont we want to raise the turn? or are we just calling because were only getting called by better and folding worse?

sorry to steal ur thunder youregoodmate :)

Depends how often we think he bluffs rivers when he misses. If he's the type that gives up a lot then yeah we should probably just shove turn. Actually I think I like shoving turn here in general. I think flatting is better if we're trying to balance but I don't think that's too much of an issue here and I think in a vacuum people don't bluff rivers nearly close to enough when they miss so I think shoving turn is probably best.

Is that the same turn range you put the villain on?

only hand he plays like this we beat imo is AK.. its sick but imo its a fold, but then again this is 6max so people spew more.

Having spoken to "9k" about this a little, I'm leaning towards a fold, but it's closeish at least, and really, these hands, while being situations where you're losing your stack, are a little bit coolerish (waits for someone to say how can it be a cooler if hero's calling a 3bet with an implied odds hand). There are many more small and medium pots that when played reasonably well will wipe out these big losses and then some.

Haha yeah me! I obv need to drastically improve my postflop play.

Im gonna start posting a shitload more hands. Maybe reduce the tables I play and concentrate on making good decisions.

Usually 8, I dont think its that actually that is negatively impacting my decisions. With 8 tables you still have plenty of time, I think I just rush my decisions and dont take the time to think it all through.

Late new years resolution. Slow down my decisions and stop button bashing. :D

Seriously consider only 4 tabling next time you play 50, and yeah, stick to your new year's resolution :)

The exact reason you shouldn't haha :) but on a serious note, probably fold or 4b until you have a post flop edge on everyone else.

Personally want to raise the flop, as his range should smash this board and he should want to GII with most of it and fold river as he doesnt have a hand that we beat i dont think

Yeah I thought straight after I should have got it in OTF. Not because of the outcome obv, he showed up with AQ so I was squashed anyway. I usually raise the nuts OTF as well, dont know why I didnt on a heavy board like this.
