Raise it up to like .20 pre since there's 3 people in pot.

This is a puke-inducingly tough spot; I sympathize. Honestly I'd cry a little and fold to the jam, because the only worse hand a typical 5NL player can have here is JJ, which we block. I can't blame you for calling though.

Also you didn't have a set; you had trips. The dynamics are totally different.

And finally, buy in full and auto top-up.

I think you do not know the difference between a set and trips.
Set is when you hold a pair and you hit the third card on the board.Like your opponent had. What you have is trips. The difference is verry big.

About the hand. Read some strategy. Your small raise pre makes no sense. You eather raise to steal or for value. Eather way you should make it bigger like 4BB+1BB per limper. 35 cents for this example. While your raise is big you can get some information too. People will throw the trash hands, even small pocket pairs wich will make your life easier.

That's way too big/polarizing for this spot. Consider that we're in a full ring game, in position, with a highly speculative hand that plays by far best multiway (the bulk of your value is hitting a straight and stacking people with the nuts, which will happen 10% of the time). When we raise to 7BB here we rep a relatively nutty hand and most people won't call without better hands than ours, unless they're terrible (which our villains here probably are, but there's still no reason to fold out a ****ton of worse hands when we hold a hand that plays better multiway than HU).

Thank you for your advice. Just to clarify, my mistake here was that I didn't raise enough pre-flop?

Meh. It's debatable. Sometimes I'll isolate to .30 here and sometimes I'll limp behind. It's really dependent upon the players in the pot.

More importantly do you have a HUD?

Get one NOW. Reads in online games are so much better when you have a HUD it's not even funny.

Don't think it'll automatically make you a better player though. ;) Do some homework on what HUD stats mean and how they affect tendencies.

He is a beginner man. He is clueless on the flop. Bigger raise on the flop partially saves him of some problems postflop.

dont be result oriented because what ever u did the money is going in anyway, but from what i see the prefrop raise is a non sens keep it easy for your self raise 3 times the blind+1blind for every limper (max 5times the blind).

Yeah but we're up against 3 people and guaranteed to be dominated if we raise big and get a caller. If you're not gonna be able to play this hand well multiway just dump it pre.

Before we even get into postflop play there are more pressing matters for Flaggy. For once me and Aleksei agree, which absolutely must mean that there is no other correct option - get yourself a HUD ASAP.

Now start reading through these - https://www.cardschat.com/poker-strategy.php

These articles should give a good basis for you to build on, keep posting hands up here and get involved more.

And trust me the HUD will pay for itself over the course of your poker career.
