Alright, so I think I played this hand pretty well (I could be wrong though lol). I don't have much a read on the villain, he showed up a few hands ago. Flop is pretty standard. For the turn, my reasoning behind the check, is that I have the Ad so I'm not worried about a 4th diamond coming off and feel I can maybe induce villain to bluff river as it looks like I've given up on the hand. And on the river, with villain checking (I figure hes looking for a cheap showdown), I decided to go for value. I went a bit bigger because I figured if he's calling like $4 he's calling $7.

My question is whether my reasoning for the turn check is okay or not? And also whether I should be checking behind on river?

As far as the "as played" aspect goes, I think its a no brainer but would still like to hear what you think. Thanks.

I think I like betting the turn in this case. He is more likely to have a weaker Ace than a flush and he will likely fold if the 4th diamond hits.

As played I think the river bet is good and I think a fold would be in order.

WVH and Chuck are pretty spot on.

The turn check is somewhat villain dependent. Do you have any stats / reads about him?

River bet/fold is good. If villain is good enough to identify you're pot controlling and decides to CRAI with air to exploit that, your primary problem is not this particular hand, it's table selection. :)

when you check the turn back on the river AK is one of the few hands thats at the top of your range, also your intensions were to induce bluffs. i would have called on the river.
