$50 NL HE 6-max: AK on AAK flop, extracting value
Don't have the hand history but I'll try to re-create. Please comment on postflop play. I suppose this isn't really an important spot but wondering how you would play this.
This is rush poker, 6-max.
MP raises to $2, it folds to me on the button with AdKs. I raise to $6. blinds fold, and MP calls $6.
I flop the joint: Ac As Kc
He checks, I bet half the pot ($6.50), he reraises to $28. Without thinking, I instacalled. Wondering if I should have taken some time to call? Instacall looks strong.
My thought on my flop bet is that I have shown strength by 3-betting pre and to check here usually looks suspicious. This flop is so absurd that I can't have it if I bet it, and most villains will feel compelled to stab at it even if they don't have it.
Turn: 8c
I bet $15.50, which is stupid weak with a vulnerable hand, except I don't have one. I actually wonder if I should bet more, but the price is irresistible if he has anything on this board -- a K, a flush draw, he might even call to try to hit a 2-outer and stack my trip Aces.
He calls.
River: 3s
I started to regret my small turn bet...I think if I bet a tiny bit more, like $22-$25, he'd almost have to call the river for like 1/4 PSB with anything...still, I have slightly less than a 1/2 PSB left...do I stick the rest in, hoping he has a flush or an A or a K, or try to get a hero call/induce a shove with a small bet?
