I'm check/folding here. Pairs make up a huge chunk of his range, and he's not folding any of them on this flop.

I also like 4-bet shoving more and more. I think it gets more fold equity, and I don't think it gives us away as having AK. This isn't the greatest spot for it, given the amount of money in the pot, but if I have any excuse to 4-bet shove, I think I kinda prefer that. Playing 4-bet pots with stuff like AK/99-JJ isn't super fun.

I see TT-QQ a lot when people flat these 4bets, but hard to tell with unknowns. He's got less than a pot sized bet left on the flop. I find that it's tough to get people to fold pp's on paired boards, so I'd probably lean towards check folding. If we assume hes not folding pp's then I don't think shoving will be profitable, even with the 28% or so equity we have against those hands that we are live against. But then again that assumption may not be valid against this player. Ive had people flat my 4bets with 57s flush mining before.

I've posted many a hand like this before.
Having your AK 4bet flat called is a horrible situation.
I've started 4bet shoving it now, I don't really have a way to balance it but heck when I leave small stakes and balancing becomes necessary I probably won't have people calling 4bets anymore so I can raise AK like any other hand.

+1.

4betting 2.5 times villain's 3bet is sexy when you have position, and it can be neatly balanced between occasional bluffs and things you will stack to a shove. Mostly because flatting the 4bet oop will suck for villain, so he has to fold or shove.

Out of position, i like to make my raise a little overpot sized, and that would mean a committing raise here, so 4bet shoving is fine. No real need to balance that until people decide to call with small pocket pairs because they put you squarely on AK. Then you can start 4bet shoving AA too.

As played, i like check-folding this flop.

I agree, you should check-fold this flop. I'm thinking he has between 10's-QQ's.
If you would have paired, i probably would have stacked off with him if he bet 2/3 pot or less.

You put yourself in this situation.. Preflop you should have folded or all in because you know when you miss the flop you have a problem..

What hand did you put him on preflop?? If you put him on AK preflop than move all in.. If you put him on any other hand than fold
