To save space I condensed this, I was curious if the starting hand selection was ok.

if there are no notes I folded.

Too tight? Too loose?

I know it's not a huge sample, but it's very representative , in the last 400 hands I only won 16.

Edit: I just noticed that the positions I have listed aren't quite right, somewhere the order got messed up... bah, it's close though, somewhere I must have missed a hand.

Hi FXer.

I was on this table with you for a while. At first, I thought you appeared a bit too tight. But with these hands, I probably would have been tight, too. Sometimes you just don't get the cards. My luck was running semi-bad that day. So by the the time I got to that table, I had an aggressive attitude. If you remember, out of all the hands I won I only showed 1 or 2. The rest I was using position combined with semi-good cards and I won by getting a few folds. I'd say my wins at that table were 33% bluffs/64% good cards.

It was kind of a weird table. Like on hand #48 above: When you raised 5x BB w/AJ after 2 limpers, the BB & the 2 limpers called. You and BB folded the flop after the 2 limpers were in for $1. Ends up that Limper #1 had called your PF raise with Q9o and kept betting at 2nd pair. Limper #2 had called your PF raise w/22 and hit his set on the turn. He got the other guy all-in and took it down.

Now why would they call your 5x raise with such junk? Not sure. They were all folding when I raised to 50c. Why not you? Maybe just luck.

Anyway, when your cards won't come, try some bluffs. Right now, I'm really working on picking my spots to bluff. Sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm wrong. Also, there are some hands that may be worth a limp in an unraised pot like suited connectors or a suited King or Queen. You know. Hands you wouldn't normally play but might work while you're desperate.

To sum up: All I can say is practice bluffing and be patient during your cold-card spells. There's nothing worse than donking off all your chips in frustration when you can't get a hand. Hope we can play again sometime.

One of the things I noticed about your play compared to mine, was that I didn't bet the flop nearly as hard as you did. That might be why people were willing to call me with sub-par hands and not you, as they could expect to face a much larger bet on the flop from you.

I think I need to ramp up my aggression still. Both PF and afterwards. I also think I may start to show some of the good hands I win ( expected sometime in 2007 when I get one lol )

Ahhh. Very interesting. I didn't know it was noticable. Yep, I guess a pot-sized flop bet seems to do the trick in micro-limits. Whether you want a call or not.

Here's the hand. He was actually in middle position (MP). There was a lot of limping going on and he had a tight image. I would have raised there, too.

The answer is.... it depends

Look OK to me in general. Difficult to judge, as you would fold certain hands if they were raised in front of you (I usually fold AJ to a raise because it's one of those hands that can get you into trouble). Also I don't think AJ is a raising hand except maybe from late position. Any suited ace such as in hand 50 is worth a limp from late position as well. K-4 suited on the button (hand 15) could be worth a limp in.

At these stakes I don't think you have to play too tight - in fact it could be a disadvantage - because you get great implied odds, i.e. people will pay you off if you hit so there's no harm in spending a few extra big blinds on some extra limp-ins.

Just a question your last hand the a,6 suited?? why didn't you limp in with it at least? Nut flush is always good to beat any others who play soooted cards.

yeah that last hand is the only time you didnt limp in. Its also the only hand with a ace in it you folded. I think you played 50/50 between loose and tight. But every hand you saw a flop with was a good hand your werent reall playing any garbage

He hasn't given us all the details, you guys. Maybe it was raised too much by the time it got to him.
