Well established at the table. #7 is new to the table and has played aggressively pre- and post-flop. Played a few hands vs. #8, nothing notable.

I'd try to pot check raise. Even if no one bets, that's not the end of the world.

Judging by action and stakes, someone is sure to bet so try to check; if its not pot sized bet you can call and hope to catch, but the fl draw is dangerous here with 2 others in the hand.

At this point, I feel I have the high hand won barring a diamond on the river, and there is no low hand yet. So, I check raised them all-in. Here are the results.

*** TURN *** [5h 2s Jd] [Qd]
Juniorsdaddy checks
77777 bets $0.57
88888 calls $0.57
Juniorsdaddy raises to $3.43
77777 calls $1.33, and is all in
88888 folds
Juniorsdaddy shows [9c Jc Qc Td]
77777 shows [Ts 7c 5s Ah]
Uncalled bet of $1.53 returned to Juniorsdaddy
*** RIVER *** [5h 2s Jd Qd] [As]
Juniorsdaddy shows two pair, Queens and Jacks, for high
77777 shows two pair, Aces and Fives, for high
77777 wins the pot ($5.16) with two pair, Aces and Fives
No low hand qualified
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $5.52 | Rake $0.36
Board: [5h 2s Jd Qd As]

Another question: I am still a little new at figuring out Omaha hands. But, the only thing I see helping my opponent is that A on the river. Am I missing something, or did this guy really get that lucky?

This hand is barely playable pre flop. After the flop you have top pair then you make it top two but also the flush draw is out there and so is the low so you are esentially calling for a possibility of half the pot. Most likely you are getting none of it. His hand was even worse than yours and he did get a lucky river. I am not at all shocked by the call at this level. My advice to you is to be careful with this starting hand since it has no chance at low and needs at least two high cards on the flop to consider pot bet calls after the flop.

He got a little bit lucky, but you're not a huge favorite in the hand because you have no share of the low pot. He has 9 outs to scoop (2 for trips, 3 for top two, 4 for a straight), and then the low draw.

Thanks for the info and the link to the odds calculator. Looking at the two hands, I had no idea that it was that close. I know it was risky playing a strictly high hand (especially with a 9 and 10), but I thought I could get away with it based on who was in the hand. Better tighten up some more, I guess.
