The villian is super lose and shoving and capping everything under the sun. ($2 cap)

Did I play this hand too strong preflop?

Comments welcome...

Disclaimer: PLO is my worst game, and I know even less about capped games.

QQ with a suited ace has good equity against even the top 20% of hands. You should probably be looking to stack off preflop with aces, kings, and good queens that won't be dominated.

Also, a lot of your money is going to be won from players like Andrea who calls a big 3-bet with a speculative hand and folds. Since the betting is capped at $2, he'd have to be pretty crazy to fold many flops.

So yeah, I like the 3-bet. Its likely getting close to the bottom of your value 3-betting range, but I think its passable depending on how often Augustine opens.

Also, stop posting the results 2 hours after you post that hand. In fact, you shouldn't even post what happens on the flop, because obviously you flopping the nuts is going to bias people's opinions of the 3-bet pre.

Pls don't post outcomes before getting feedback, it biases the analysis.

Once we get to the flop, no brainer. The only hands that have equity against us are Th7hxx and sets.

Against someone that agg I don't mind the 3bet pf.

I think there's a decent argument for not capping any hands pre unless it's AAxx.

There's no way its correct to only 3-bet AAxx in a capped game. I'd bet that 3-betting and getting folds on flops is a huge source of profit in these games.

And obviously if we're 3-betting a wide range pre, we're not going to be folding when 1/3rd of our stack is in and we've got decent equity against a 4-bet cap.
