No stats on villain

How would you play this differently? I put him on KJ, making a better 2 pair on the turn. KK is out of the question imo, I think he would have reraised.

Looks fine, make it bigger preflop though.

Our only concern is 2x, KK and JJ, all of which can be discounted heavily, and he can have tons of Kx and random other hands that turned draws or pairs or just spazz out.

Possibly JJ or Kx.I don't believe that he have KK.Call all in you are probably ahead but who knows he could have 22 and A2 suited. And 9Q and AQ if he is stupid enough.
It is poker people can calls with lot of hands.

This example is straight out of the Baluga Theorem post. And notice, its a call:

However, to slightly alter Isura's example, lets say we have A

A
spade.gif
, same pf action as before and the flop (pot~15bb) comes down:

K

2
heart.gif
2
diamond.gif

UTG checks, we bet 12bb, Button calls, UTG folds.

the turn (pot ~36bb) comes:
J

We bet 25bb, Button raises all in.

Here, I think we should call.

Nice hand, well played, new thread.

ya I thought of that hand in the Baluga theorem post instantly when I saw that board.

The principle is:
1. There are many many more combos of top two or top pair + flush draw (say, KQhh) given that you hold AA than there are hands that beat you. When you can beat top two, you call.

2. Most of the hands that beat you don't play this way preflop. KK, JJ are not limp-calling, and most likely neither is 2x.
