Any thoughts on the hand? did I do anything wrong? No info on villian. I had to call his push on the river, but wasn't so happy about it.

Probably should raise flop, definitely should raise turn. But wouldn't have made a difference in the end. All the momey going in with this run out

I think that if I had stats I think I could find a fold in the river, when he pushes, if he is actually way too passive. I remember in that session not loosing all my money with a set vs a bigger set, in a similar board, I called a value bet on the river instead of pushing because I didn't I was called by worse, and saved more than half my stack on a set vs set. There were no flushes, just some strange straight combos

Not sure I understand. why do we 3 bet the flop with 77? For value?

Agree, you cant escape on this hand.

Even villain bets on river, we would raise and all money will eventually go to the middle.

This is just a standard cooler. The chances of two sets clashing on the flop is around 100-1 so you should always be looking to get all your money into the middle in these circumstances especially on such a dry run out. You will be facing top pair and 2 pair far more often than a set. I suggest calling about 80% and raising 20%, raising when the board is wet. When there are plenty of draws you need to charge your opponent and he is more likely to put you on a draw and pay you off if they miss.
I am more concerned about why you aren't sitting with 100bb . If you had the higher set you would have lost a lot of value.

A rise from UTG usually hide QQ+ AK+ range so at the river u should fold.(Should call if u got some informationa bout UTG. Like wtsd RiseF UTG, etc.)

I think at the microstakes the F call, T call, R check/rise alwasy meens NUTS.So i you don`t have any other read from Villain than fold is the good step. U will get better hand to play for stack!
Anyway i know that is hard to fold a hand like yours

In a microstakes game we just always put the chips in for value here. The draws missed and there are only 2 hands that can beat us. The problem is, from an UTG raise in any game the likelyhood of those 2 hands comprising the villains range increases.

Listen, there are some guys who can make sick folds but I would never advise folding on the river. When you get shoved on, you know your probably behind in theory, but in a 5NL game people are shoving way too wide and you could still easily be good.

If the flop was AK7 rainbow and villain went for 3 streets and we have stats that verify their tightness, AND we have at least 150 big blinds, maybe, just maybe we can find a fold.

Yeah he got you. Very unorthodox way to play the nuts on his part. He may check to induce a bluff or worse value bet with AK, AA, or KQ, or just to ensure he gets to close the action without getting raised. He'd be giving up with all his semibluffs and would be considering check-calling with something like AdQd.

But when UTG check-raises all in on the river on KQx board, you never feel good. Very unlucky, I think I would pay this off every time. I think most players would.

This is a cooler. Don't sweat too much about losing such hands. Just pay the bill. ;)
