Always struggle in these spots... Should I raise here to protect my hand or just get to show down cheap?

I know the PF raise was too small as well by the way, already chastised myself for that ;)

Call down such small bets till the river was fine i guess. A raise at any point post flop does not seem necessary to me. So if the river made him trips or if he had a queen then say nice hand and move on. I would have played the hand similarly.

Since you have much bullet in terms of BB, have to know where you stand either on the flop or turn. You might even make him fold.

But what are the pros and cons of getting him to fold?

I do not think he will fold a Queen and if he does not have one why make him fold.
