I only had 2 hands of data on villain before playing this hand, so nothing reliable to go on. Would you have played this hand similarly, or taken a different line? Having looked it over again myself, I can think of one thing I maybe could have done more optimally, but I'd be interested to see how other people would have played this spot.

Thanks for your time :)

Check back the turn and bet bigger on the flop. 70-80% PSB is good. Probably fold river as played. He pretty much always has a ten/flush here after check-calling two barrels OOP and donking the river.

Raise more pre-flop, bet more on the flop. As played, I'd take the free one on the turn. Calling the river after c/cing 2 streets and then betting is a flush / straight a huge percent of the time. 3:1, it's probably close but I'd usually find a fold since you did bet 2 streets. He has no reason to think he can push you off your hand w/ 1/2 pot bet. If he was bluffing then he'd be jamming, and other hands that might go for slim value aren't going to be c/cing and then betting that river. Just makes no sense.

Fine play for me except flop.

Its the crucial point where you have to do something since its a very dangerous flop indeed.

Personally, I would bet an amount to its maximum.

Yeah that's the thing that I was thinking after reviewing, that bet sizing should be a bit bigger in each case.
Interesting that most comments are advising on checking the turn, I thought at the time "I definitely have to bet here, in case he is drawing to the flush". Is this one of those spots therefore where pot control for damage limitation in case I am behind should take precedence over pricing out the draws that have yet to come in?
