$5 NL HE Full Ring: Top 2 facing strong opposition

Background: This was a $.02/.05 FTP Rush table. No stats on villain. I am looking for general critique on this hand. Should I have lead on the flop. Due I check call the river, bet out, etc. Any input useful. Thanks

-I put him on 77 here. The limp and raise of the turn seem suspicious, but Ax and A7 are possible but I really put him on 77 here. Anyway I can fold this river. Do I flat call or jam?

Preflop, I pump this up to like 6x BB because AJ is definitely ahead of both villains limp/calling ranges so you might as well get some more money in.

On the flop, lead 100% of the time here. In limped pots, no one technically has initiative so you can't expect anyone to bet this flop for you so you have to do it yourself.

The turn play looks fine to me.

As for the river, I like checking it (like you did) and calling a bet. It's 5NL so theres alway the chance villain turns up with something completely spewy so you have to call. He'll show up with 77 some of the time but will also show up with like A7, J7, maybe busted diamonds. He may even show with complete air cause he thinks you might be stealing the pot on the turn.

Raise pre, bet the flop. I have no idea what to do on the turn, as I don't like to put myself in spots like this by checking a ton of streets with big hands.

I'm raising this pre-flop to 0.25. Your out of position with a decent hand but don't really want anymore than one person to play against post flop. MP1 calls but now the pot is about 0.60 letting us put a decent sized c-bet in. With two over cards to his 77 he is unlikely to call the c bet...

Yes, you should have bet earlier but stop being results oriented. you only needed to be good 28% of the time for the river call to be +EV
