Bet the turn, and no way you're folding that river. It's much closer between call / shove than fold / call.

John. This is where I was confused, I didn't bet as I thought he would raise or shove with a made flush or flush/straight draw. Do I call of if that happens? Or is it playing too timid?

Correct. You can't bet / fold the turn. But your opponents are pretty weak at these stakes and you want to take advantage of them calling too much, which is what they do. So I'd bet somewhat small on the turn to get calls from Tx, JJ/QQ, AT and straight draws. The worst thing that can happen if your opponent has say some mid/small pair with a club and then sucks out on the river, or worse yet, has a set and then you're both scared by a 4th club on the river.

If you're opponent was really competent, I wouldn't mind a turn check, but in a 3-bet spot here your opponents range will have less flush draws and more second best hands that may lose river value.

If he has the goods, so be it.

Never I would fold this one. Many hands we can beat while few we lose.

I called the river after thinking a bit about shoving. He had QJ clubs for the turned flush.

Very very tough call. When he checks the turn, he is obviously looking to check/raise. Then when he leads out on the river I would become concerned. The way he has played the hand really says flush. I suppose he could have played AK this way although since u hold 2 aces that is unlikely. Perhaps he has a smaller set here, but the flush and straight should worry him enough to get him to check the river. Overall, a flush just seems too likely for my tastes. That being said, it would be awfully hard to lay down top set here. Just one of those tough spots.

If they are willing to call 3bets and play oop with JQ then you will take money off this player in the long run. I would have called here because the A clubs is out there which means he is realistically down to very few combos of clubs. I suspected QK of clubs when I saw the bet on the end but there are plenty of sets here also that we beat. Your pot control on the turn although timid saved you losing the full amount. I would have bet the turn personally because of the A clubs being on the board. As I said this takes away loads of Ax suited combos he might otherwise have....and we can still fill to top boat with 9 outs and 1out to quads.
