Villain is real fish playing 85/9 over ~100. His limp call UTG screams weak ace or low-mid pocket pair though I may expect a raise with a pair.

I put him on this weak ace especially when he check calls the flop and turn. My question is do I value bet this river or check behind as the only weaker aces I'm beating are A3, A7 and A8?

limpcalls from 85/9s scream ATC. Bet half-pot to get a crying call from K5 or 76.

What's his fold to flop c-bet percentage? If its lower than, say, 35%, then I think this is a pretty solid v-bet.

Higher than that, idk, I think I'd really still wanna v-bet this, like baudib says. Just looks icky to me.

It really is a thin spot, I think checking behind is fine here, since there are more aces that beat you than not, flush and straight board etc. You don't know if he goes to showdown with any pair on any board, you can make a thin value-bet but much less than 1/2 pot, make it $.60 or something to get those thin calls and fold to any raise obv

His fold to C-bet was low (don't have stats to hand) but think it was probably <40%.

I thought about it and do think value betting thin is where I am losing a lot of value - I checked...
