Being that only a set of tens or Kings beats u here, folding is just not an option, especially at 0.02/0.05 limits. Its possibly he played TT this way but i think if he did have one of the two hands that beat u he would have raised pre flop.

Do not give the vilian too much credit. It appears from the preflop to turn action he is a complete idiot. First of all he should have raised preflop terrible mistake at the micro limits. The he Slowplays till he hits his miracle two outer but truthfully the results most likely would have been the same for any non Ace on the river. He just wasn't going to fold and was willing to put it all in with KK, he just sucked out here.

At the micro limits you would be not be wrong to NEVER fold a set. even if the board was 4 to flush and straight I probably wouldn't fold a set except to the most nitty of players. People will just do very weird things and you will cost yourself a lot of money if you worry about the few times like this one where they have it as opposed to the other 85-90% of the time when they don't.

Nothing you can do there. He did play the hand wierd, but he should have raised preflop.
Only 2 hands beat you, so you had to call.

raise preflop.

With the action as it is you most likely have the best preflop hand.

In this case a raise may have caused the villian to 3bet his KK, thus revealing the strength of his hand.

Regardlesss, you will be OOP for the rest of the hand.

Calling here is bad because you are not set mining. You do not have any reason (at this point) to believe that if you hit your hand your opponent will stack off.

However should you raise and then get 3bet preflop, you now are faced with a call which would put you in a set mining position. Now you have some reason to believe your opponent may stack off.

I think raising pre is okay, but no way in hell is calling bad (bad as in -EV). Obviously you won't be stacking anyone most of the time, but you'll get enough money in the pot when you do hit your set to justify calling one SB preflop, and even when you don't, there will be relatively safe boards to bet your pair with and hands where everyone will check it down and you'll win at showdown. Also, if he did raise and BB did 3 bet to a standard amount, the the implied odds he'll be getting won't be very good. Calling off nearly 1/10th of your stack when you're not guaranteed to stack anyone and be forced to fold on most flops that don't have a 7 is not a good place to be in, especially OOP. Unless you're completely sure he won't fold post flop with anything, which you can't be 2 orbits in.

Anyway, as played, you should be insta calling and expecting to be good 99% of the time.
