7 handed on Bovada/Ignition
(SB) Hero Stack: $3.50
(MP) Villain Stack: $0.81

UTG+1 Calls $0.05Villain from MP raises to $0.16
folds to Hero who 3-bets to $0.75
folds back to Villain who 4-bets-shoves for $0.81

  • Should hero be 3-betting preflop against the short stack in this spot?

its good to iso. 16bb villain & kinda puts a "wild image" on the table

but call is fine also if UTG1 is a loose station whale, to pot control if we miss on later street

As played of course always call the 6 cents for pot odds. I wouldn't play for stacks in this spot, as you are probably just flipping or slightly better versus his call range. I would just smooth call for set value pre, if his stack were a bit bigger.

For 20 BBs it's close. With what's in there already, you're basically flipping. So just ask yourself... "you up to gamble?"... if yes, 3-bet/call, if not, fold.
