i would fold pre, if it was suited or KQ i might call. as played on the flop and turn definitely bet more so as not to price in a flush draw make it 2/3 pot min. his turn x/r looks very strong so i would just fold right there and then

Yeah, looking back over this now, i should have either got it in on the turn or folded (depending on read), theres no point flatting there...

I called pre (probably fold normally) because i think id seen the player open up horribly wide UTG.

Pre-flop is questionable. Very easy fold on the turn. Your opponent plays this so poorly, and he gave you every clue that you should fold. Check/calls MW on that dry board, and then CR's a blank turn.

Fold preflop. Or fold the turn. If you think calling the turn is necessary, then call the river.

Looking at it from a population point of view, I think folding the turn is correct. However, with 417 hands on Villain you should have at least some good idea of how he plays. It really depends on how crazy your opponent is. He'd have to be pretty crazy in order for this to be call.

Turn is a fold as well as the river.

I would have checked the turn but this is a fold to a check raise as the move is super strong simply because we did not expect the small blind to call our flop bet, after he limp called pre flop. So we have no idea about how strong or weak his hand is.

Also you mentioned that the reason you called pre flop was because the opener had a "horribly" wide range. Well in that case KJ is a decent hand to 3bet light someone who opens that wide. It gives you a chance to isolate that player and play post flop in position. Keep 3betting him with a wider range especially in late position all day long.:boxing:

yeah I like the idea of 3-betting light as well against his wide range. based on your call pre-flop though and the rest of the action I think you have to fold after the big raise on the turn.
