Hero bets $0.24, 3 folds

Would a check-raise have been better here? I cant help but think I lost value.

Why did you flat in the sb instead of raising?

In RUSH play is pretty tight and vs an UTG raiser and two callers when in the SB, I usually call and play 22-JJ for set value. If I was to 3-bet OOP I am sure to get 2-3 callers and an overcard on the flop. Then I am in a difficult position!

Playing for set value vs 3 others I KNOW I can get payed off if I hit my set.

Well that was the plan anyway!

I REALLY think I should have checked. The board could not have been more harmless :(

Ok i wasn't saying it was bad I just wanted to know what your thinking was. Yea I think you missed a ton of value here. Top set on this board can always be a slow play

Does not compute!

If their ranges are SO tight that you're flatting JJ OOP AND you KNOW you'll get payed off when you hit your set, slow playing would be stupid. Now check/raising makes sense but leading should get your $$ in the middle as well since they all have overpairs right???

Also, if rush is really tight why do you expect 2-3 callers when you 3 bet?

LOL You always have to go and get all smart on me!

Yes I am kinda contradicting myself here.
One of the reasons why I like to post these hand is it helps me to figure these things out for myself.

I still believe that my pre-flop play was right and thinking back I might recall a read I had on that UTG guy that reinforced his strong range.

To be fair the board if seldom that dry hitting my hand so well. If I had middle or bottom set and there were flush draws I would never regret leading in.

Can no-one else see that with this board leading in is wasting value?

I don't like leading on this board because if they're ranges are as tight as you seem to think check/raising should be more profitable, BUT that's not slowplaying. That's hoping that the original raiser cbets and someone calls before we raise and get it all in because they all always have like Aces and stuff.

Oh yeah what I'm really saying is 3bet preflop.

Definatly 3bet preflop, even if its more expensive to set mine, you actualy have something to set mine with...

I 3bet on RUSH 6 max with 77, AJ, K10, etc.....

The play is so tight, you can steal so many hands.
