$5 NL HE Full Ring: Rush Poker - Value Bet River?

Would you value bet this river or not? I probably should have bet slightly more on the turn too I guess? The result of the hand has no relevance to why I am asking this.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (9 handed) -

SB ($4.94)
BB ($2.37)
Hero (UTG) ($4.39)
UTG+1 ($1.70)
MP1 ($5.02)
MP2 ($1.93)
MP3 ($5.39)
CO ($4.93)
Button ($4.52)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A

Hero bets $0.15, UTG+1 calls $0.15, 4 folds, Button calls $0.15, 2 folds

i'm torn between B/F like $1.50 or c/soul reading.

Ya, definitely bet turn bigger, at least 2/3 pot.

The river is pretty gross spot like baudib mentioned. Being the micros, I'd go for b/f as villian is more likely to call with 8x, 99-JJ than they are to bluff busted draws/made hand turned bluff.

I'd just check/fold. When we bet this river, we're doing it as a bluff, not for value. If we bet like 2/3 pot on the river, we need like 40%ish folds to turn a profit, which we can likely do on this nasty board. Sure, we might get a worse over pair to call a river bet once in a while, but its mostly a bluff. The folds are what makes the bet profitable.

However, our hand has a lot of showdown value, and villain will check behind with two pair or a set a lot here, but they will call our river bet. So I think its pretty close. If we had a junkier hand (A2 of clubs or something) then obviously a bet is better, but we can check down our overpair and win a lot of showdowns.

I think check/calling is absolutely terrible, as players at this level are typically way too passive to bluff a board like this.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I really think I should have bet/folded the river. Maybe even a little less than 1/2 pot.

I ended up checking the river, and villain checked behind with QQ. He played it so passively. I put him on a pocket pair, but not one as high as Queens.

With there being no smiley after this i'm presuming your serious.... and don't really know c9, if so LOLZZ

you say c/soulreading, which i'm presuming is check-call..... which is the absolute worst line ever

It'd be a great line against some regs, since the flush draw missed, and just about any set or two pair raises before the river. And lots of regs aren't playing many hands with a five in it. So it'd be a great river to pick off a bluff. But against the passive fish at 5NL who will play all sorts of ridiculous draws and stick with them, and who won't bluff scary boards, I think its pretty bad.

basically all draws missed except random 5x and T9, i still like b/f as the optimal line.
