Feel that I might have missed some equity on this hand by checking it OOP. Although a check could have induced a bluff, don't think I made the right play. Would be interested in hearing optional plays I could have made here. What would have been a good bet amount to make?

Bet $1, generally fold if raised.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Somewhere between 85 cents to 95 cents. A value bet would have left me in no mans land if I was raised. But raising me with an overbet would have made my decision more simple...LizaBuv

Bet $1, generally fold if raised.

This would be highly dependent on a read on villain, in my book. He may be a fish raising with a random ace, he may be an aggro-donk raising a really scary card, or he may know what he's doing.

The problem with option (c) of knowing what he's doing is that he also has to go for the very unlikely checkraise with his FH or overflush (given how the rest of the hand played).

By default, this is a straight up bet/call for me at $5 nl.

Sorry but are we really afraid of a full house or q high flush?

Daniel

Daniell N's free video on carschat shows a similiar situation where he overbets the river as a hand defining amount. See the videos at this site for more explanation...LizaBuv

Whats the reason for over bet instead of 3/4 pot size bet ??

Value. I want to bet as much as possible without committing to call the shove basically because he'll be calling a lot and he'll be doing it regardless of if we make it .75 or $1.25.
