Villain is unknown, I just hate the check-minraise. I tanked for a while and folded because we were quite deep. I figure he had a set. Is this a terrible fold??? I guess if I call the flop I have to call the turn if it blanks.

I think with the CO's dead money its a call, especialy since you have position on SB, you can probably rethink on turn depending on a shove or no, and in this case, you would've called a shove.

Gamble, because you never know, even if you're behind you might get lucky on the turn.

I think you should have bet less on the flop, especially if you were going to fold to a raise like this.

This.
With the flop that dry, I would've betted no more than 60% of the pot.
I don't think you could really call his raise and reevaluated the turn. Once you called his raise, you have already put 40% of your stack in, which pretty much crossed the commitment threshold. Since this is FR, I think the SB had a set. Can't really see him raise for value with 99-JJ there really.

That's a really good point thanks. I'll keep that in mind. Anyway he had JJ. I was pretty disappointed with the way I played it but I guess I've learned something now.

Cheers guys
