And then if BTN bets the flop, or it goes check/check and BB bets the turn?

NH..OP.

When we bet he folds everything we beat but checking keeps his range wider and we might get Value from his mid pairs on the turn or induce a bluff. Also, shouldn't we have hands we check on this flop?

Checking is my preference but bet/fold isn't horrible. Sorta WA/WB spot.

I don't understand what he has here? He's super tight and flats from the BB pre and then ch/raises a dry flop? Doesn't make any sense.

Hands with a king make up a large part of villains range. AA, KK, AK, KQ....

Maybe 87s exactly. It is a small sample of only 32 hands and I've had vpips that low over that kind of sample and I'd flat that hand on the button. I do agree it's a weird flop to raise 7x on.

He probably doesn't even play KQo, he likely 3bets AA/KK pre and I just don't get why you'd ch/r AK on that flop? Just a really odd spot to ch/r just about anything imo.

Ok, so that leaves AKs/AKo/KQs is villain playing 77 here?

Yeah 77 for sure but like 67/78s (assuming he plays them) I just doubt he plays any 7 this way.

yeah, I agree; What is he playing here??? People like to check raise paired flops with air just to see people squirm. Def. think you should be checking out to see if you get a bet on the flop. Especially if your plan is to fold in that situation.
